I recently got a chance to find out a little more about Lowell, and you can read on to learn how Lowell managed to build the body he has now and what his plans are for the future….

I first started lifting weights for football. When I noticed a rapid increase in strength gains I began competing in powerlifting competitions. In doing this I set two American records in the bench press for my weight and age. I started getting into bodybuilding after a few guys at my gym said I should try it out. I began reading and watching videos about bodybuilding to gain some more knowledge. After that I was hooked. I planned my first competition and changed my training and diet accordingly.

I competed in two bodybuilding competitions so far. My last show was on August 23rd. It was the Muscle Mania Kumite Classic in Pittsburgh PA. At this show I received 1st place in the teen division and 3rd place in the open light weight division. I had a great time and gained a lot of experience. I’m looking forward to future competitions.

My future goals are to keep improving my body. I plan on competing again early next year. Until then I will continue to add lean muscle mass to my frame. My long term goals are to make a living in the health and fitness industry and also earn my pro card.

I enjoy listening to music during my workouts, especially while doing cardio. Some of the music I like include: Kanye West, Young Jeezy, Eminem, T.I., Jay-Z and Maino. My other hobbies outside of fitness are sports. My favorite sports would have to be football and basketball.

(I think the above pic is my favorite, very balanced upper and lower body, great arms, abs and legs - Mike)

Some advice I would give to people interested in bodybuilding and fitness are to stay consistent with your workouts. It takes time to gain quality muscle and you have to be patient. Your diet also plays a big rule in achieving muscle gains. It is important to eat high amounts of protein, moderate carbs, and low fat. Supplementation can help you get faster gains and intensify your workout.

Some supplements that have given me great results are Cellucor M-5 Extreme, Cellucor, N.O. Extreme, and Cellucor Thermal Shock.

You can help support Lowell by using code mb737 for any supplements you purchase from Cellucor. Be sure and visit them at http://cellucor.com - Mike

Diet: I keep it real simple, not anything fancy. My motto about diet is “Go Green” so green vegetables a must for me! Yoghurt mixed up with nuts, rice w/ gravy(lunch) , fruits( I love to get high on natural sugar), grilled/roasted chicken. And my fave desert is ‘Sticky rice and mango’ can’t go without it.

I’m very outgoing; Enjoy life as it comes. And I’m very big on positive attitude!

As an aspiring model, I have been fortunate enough to work with some great photographers. My modeling portfolio is a work in progress. I want to do more on fitness, spread awareness through my work. May be get on sports Illustrated cover one day :)

Fitness modeling definitely is my main focus, having said that I would still like work for prints, editorial shoots, high end fashion, and clothing catalog shooting.

Anyway as you can see I saved AJ’s best pic for last (at least in my opinion).
